Administrative Offices in Zürich, Basel, Bern, Lucerne & Zug

Contact information for the national and local administrative centres of Zurich, Zug, Berne, Lucerne and Basel. The place to go for residency papers, vehicle registration papers, driving licences and more.

In the German-speaking part of Switzerland, all foreigners have to register at the Einwohnermeldeamt or Einwohnerkontrolle of their local Gemeindehaus (Town Hall). Each town and city has it's own Gemeindehaus, to find the local office administration office, see the Swiss Yellow Pages and search for Gemeindeverwaltung.
